Thinking more on teaching

I thought a bit more about teaching and researching. I came to the conclusion that people that are really good at researching in their field actually do enjoy teaching. And oftentimes they are good at teaching. So I guess my ambivalence exists with the general idea that a reduced teaching load is considered to be an achievement and some researchers make it sound like teaching is the least important part of their job. Although I do admit that I never thought of teaching as a reason of getting a PhD, it has become a part of what I enjoy being at Michigan State….
